The Chapelle des Cordeliers

Contemplate every detail of Marc Chagall's monumental stained glass window "La Paix" in the Chapelle des Cordeliers (18th century). This colourful 12-metre-high stained glass window is the largest designed by Marc Chagall.

The garden adjoining the chapel is an invitation to daydream and meditate. Armed with your audio guide, sit back and let yourself be carried away by the voices of Marc Chagall and his friends.

The Museum of the Sarrebourg Region

Housed in a contemporary setting, the museum is a treasure trove of art and history. Walk around the great circular staircase and you'll discover a different vision of "Peace". After the stained glass window, here is a tapestry by Yvette Cauquil-Prince, based on a stained glass window by Chagall installed at the ONU headquarters in New York. Keep your eyes peeled! Many of the motifs are the same as those in the stained glass window!

After that, take a stroll through the museum's other collections. What can you find there? Archaeological and historical remains from Sarrebourg and the surrounding area, and a large collection of earthenware and porcelain from the Niderviller factory.
