Developed as a reservoir for the Marne-Rhine canal, the Réchicourt-le-Château pond is divided into five basins, one of which is still used for merchant and pleasure boating. Well known for its tourist attraction, you may visit this place all year round and discover the riches of its fauna and its arboretum. The building of the Great Lock, from 1962 to 1965, made it possible to replace 6 others. The height of the structure is impressive (15.70 m), and offers an outstanding view on ponds. The Great Lock works between April and October only.
